Day 1: Arrival Day: Pick up from Cochin Airport and transfer to the resort by noon. After lunch, a short brief on the activities and experiences you are going to enjoy in Kerala followed by ice-breakers and games.
Day 2: Nature and Adventure Day: After an early breakfast, depart for a nature walk with our naturalist. He will explain about the rare and unknown facts about the mountain ecosystem including its functioning followed by a nature walk. Mountain ecosystem in this region is very much endemic thereby providing an unique experience. This day also includes visiting the Idukki Dam (the largest arch dam in Asia). Optional river crossing near the resort is available afternoon.
Day 3: Life on a working farm: After breakfast, visiting different spice plantations (how the Kerala spices like pepper, cloves, garlic etc are plucked, harvested, processed and sold in the market) and a local market to understand the socio-economic aspect of spice trade in Kerala. Visiting a rubber plantation after lunch which includes the activities involved in the manufacture of rubber.
Day 4: Culture Day: After breakfast, proceed for school visit followed by village visit after lunch. This day a sumptuous Kerala Sadhya would be provided for lunch. Late in the evening, a Kathakali performance is organized which will enrich the student’s knowledge on Kerala culture. Kathakali is a dance-drama form of art which originated in Kerala. After breakfast, transfer to Cochin airport for flight.
Day 5: Depart: After breakfast, transfer to Cochin airport for flight.
